Nokia - Global consistency
Smarter than a smartphone: Triplar delivers a great looking store for Nokia
Triplar’s relationship with global mobile manufacturer and retailer Nokia has seen the company travel all over the world, from Sao Paulo to Singapore, and complete high profile projects including the brand’s global re-launch in 2007.
One of Nokia’s main drivers is consistency; they want to achieve the same look in all of their stores globally. And far closer to home, Triplar recently completed a full fit-out for Nokia on a new store in The Glades Shopping Centre, Bromley that met and surpassed the client’s expectations.
A complete shop-fit of the store took four-weeks to complete, during which period Triplar installed all new mechanical systems, new electrics, new flooring, new ceilings and a new shop front. The team also oversaw the installation of all furniture in the store and installed a feature back wall.
Triplar project manager Danny Dorgan said: “This was a thorough fit-out job, from new air conditioning and sprinkler systems, to new flooring and ceilings; we had to start the store from scratch.
“As always there are unexpected issues that need to be rectified on site, one such problem surrounded centred on the heavily textured feature back wall, the panels for which had become damaged in transit. We had to complete remediation works on site and then fit the panels.
Triplar’s long-standing relationship with Nokia is testament to the company’s ability to deliver consistently on a global level, while being adaptive and innovative locally.
Danny added: “Every retail unit is different, but we always work to ensure the finished store offers the same experience as you would find within a Nokia outlet anywhere else in the world.
“This often involves overcoming small challenges and thinking around any problems we face, all the while ensuring that the store opens on time and to the highest standard.
“Within a shopping centre our role and responsibility also includes liaising with the centre management, ensuring we comply with any rules and regulations they may have in place and causing a minimum of disruption during the fit-out”
The company’s experienced UK shop fitting team complete a range of projects in the UK for clients including Lush, Blacks and Nike. The team are supported by a highly-skilled factory that can build bespoke furniture and other components.
Feedback from the client was overwhelmingly positive:
“Everyone is really pleased and there are a lot of good things being said about the look of the store and the way in which it was constructed and managed....Many thanks for all of your hard work…”
The response from the centre’s management on completion of the project underlined Triplar’s commitment to working in partnership with landlords:
“May I say the fit out is looking really good, with a first class spec. All your paper work is in order and it is refreshing to see some contractors go out of their way in making sure all the requirements are met. If only all the rest were as easy to deal with.”
